I was told that I should tell you
just how I really feel
just in case you feel the same
tell me are these feelings for real.
I feel safe when I am with you
being held in your arms so tight
I feel so loved and cared for
and feel that everything's so right.
I love it when you kiss me
the gentle touch of your soft lips
and the way you sneak up behind me
and put your caring hands upon my hips.
I have no fears when I am with you
I feel so safe in your arms
there's a feeling I get deep inside me
that tells me I am safe from harm.
But there's a reason I am writing this
I guess it's to say I care
and that I'm saying "I love you"
Even if you aren't quite there.
