Recruitment
Chapter Information:
Alpha Delta Pi was founded at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia on May 15, 1851. Our chapter was founded February 24, 1968. Alpha Delta Pi's symbols include Alphie the Lion, the Woodland Violet, and the colors Azure Blue and White. One of the best things about our organization is that we truly, "Live for Each Other" thru diversity and Sisterhood.
Sisterhood:
Our sisterhood is very special to us and brings us together because we are not just a chapter, but also friends. Some of the things we do together include Sledding, hallway picnics, make-over parties to get ready for formals and socials, and much more. Every Tuesday and Thursday, we have chapter dinner in the University Union where we catch up on things our sisters have been doing each week.
New Member Program:
As a new member of Alpha Delta Pi, you are called an Alpha instead of a pledge. We believe in treating everyone equal in Alpha Delta Pi. On becoming a new member of Alpha Delta Pi, you immediately have the priviledge of wearing our Greek letters, attending meetings, and even holding positions right away. Our Alphas go through a 6 week education program where you learn the history of our chapter and what we strive for. After our 6 week education program, new members are initiated and welcomed into the full sisterhood of Alpha Delta Pi.
