"Stories I've Heard"
His arming switch was mistakenly "ON" during training --
while using civilian aircraft as "Target Practice."
"An ICBM (missle) out of Point Magu shot it down."
"The plane was skyjacked to China by a mole on board.
The crew was interrogated, tortured, then killed."
(Someone had) "...proof that the plane landed safely. All are
still alive -- but have new identities." (ever watch the show "Alias?")
Washington Post, March 17, 1962
"The Russians shot the plane out of the sky with 'a more powerful'
ICBM (Inter-continental Balistic Missle)."
"The U.S. shot the plane out of the sky with "Titan-2" --
an ICBM" (Inter-continental Balistic Missle).
"You will never find out what happened.
Not even 50 or 150 years from now,
due to National Security -- even today."
One would have to endure a great devastating -- emotional, physical or materialistic -- loss/tradgedy in their lives in order to feel the slightest pain that we feel just from the "not knowing." Some surviving loved-ones choose to "let it go" and move on to live productive lives. Some "supress the pain/memories" in their own efforts to survive in the world -- that is, until it catches up with them in the form of "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder" (PTSD). And, for some the pain is still in their minds and hearts every second of every minute of every hour of every day. It affects their own functionality -- instilling difficulty with their coping, finances, relationships, socializing, employment, etc. that can be directly linked to the illnesses that they have today. Yes, this tradgedy (and grave injustice) has left devastation in its wake that will last for generations to come.
Until the truth is known, I will never give up.
