Captives

Captives is still a starting project, but nevertheless we decided to disclose it partially.
It is is an exercise in portraying wild species away from their habitat, in a studio-like environment.
Isolated on the camera lens, these animals show themselves.
We tried to capture the character of each species and sometimes, of each individual specimen.
All the birds that we work with have a story to tell.
At the time of the sessions they were in a rehabilitation center, in convalescence or permanently.
Some were stolen from their nests, others were shot by hunters or collided with cars.
Finally, we were certanly influenced by the work of the photographer James Balog:
"Survivors".
