Glum
A solitary leaf flutters in the breeze
Low fog creeps over with utter ease
Shallow light coming from the stars
The sound of rusling leaves is sparce
Sole - standing hollow and dejected
Ever so abandoned and unprotected
Empty space barren and dispondent
Low branches sway and gently bend
Alone not just for the period of dark
For a lifetime with temporary spark
Constantly returning to desolate state
Feeling just empty - not pity nor hate
