Floris Brown
I witnessed nature
’Tis dark
the night at its deepest
gently he touches the dawn
pushing her forth to start
a new day.
My eyes still open wide
it’s cold and the wind outside
slowly getting dreary
the dark through all its stillness
disturbed.
There’s no sun
thunderlightning crashes
on my windowpane
leaves me with shock
and scattered glass
falling in the rain
snowflakes running in on my
curtains and slowly drips
unto my bed.
I move out, slowly.
I witnessed nature.
So’s the world.
So let it bleed,
let it bleed
