Personal Statement: I am in great awe of the wonderful world that God has created and placed me in – it is with wonder that I experience nature, the good and the "bad"– and I think some of that feeling has to "come out" and be heard. Everything, after all, is pure Grace.

Tog volhard die somer laggend
met skielike vlae warm lug
vol van gesnyde gras se ruik
wat blomkoppies kleurvol
deurmekaarkrap
en laat giggel.

Die verwondering lê groot
in jou blou babablou oë
wat volmaak kyk na volmaak blom
in jou babapoffervolmaakte vyfvingerhandjie.
Ek hoop jy sal eendag, my kind, begryp
die wonder van dié grootsheid
lê ondeurgrondelik ver en wyd
