Crystal Rose
Untitled
In a garden
Of blue dreams
And lavender hopes
Blows the cold
Weathered petals
On the brown cobblestone
Where years of songs
Are remembered
With the passage
Of time
Under a yellow
Crescent moon
Where we once stood
Young and starting anew
Now old and weathered
Like the petals
On that brown cobblestone
Not a regret
In our hearts
For we lived
Our blue dreams
And lavender hopes
And we did it
With love
A Rose of Cobalt Blue
(villanelle)
In Eve’s garden where it once grew,
just past midnight.
A rose of cobalt blue.
Loves passion’s flew,
between Eve and her knight.
In Eve’s garden where it once grew.
A love only felt by a few
of wonder and delight.
A rose of cobalt blue.
Only the fates who knew,
if someday they will reunite.
In Eve’s garden where it once grew.
The love of these two
will once again burn bright.
A rose of cobalt blue.
A tale of love, that’s true.
Now fading into twilight.
In Eve’s garden where it once grew.
A rose of cobalt blue.

Dreams of Things
On gossamer wings
Are dreams
And things
That streams
From my heart
And mind
Flows into art
Comfort, I find
In a shooting star
On a moonlight night
Coming from a far
To awe and delight
Mist on the lake
Rolling onto the shore
Its beauty do not forsake
A lovely memory forever more
Doves in flight
Two swans on a pond
Together forever in love
Though out life and beyond
Children on a summer’s day
Where laughter is found
On swings they sway
Spinning on a merry-go-round
Raindrops and rainbows
Seen from my front porch swing
The beauty that nature bestows
On the first day of spring
Snowflakes in my hair
And drifting upon my face
A brisk chill in the air
Time to snuggle by a fireplace
These are my dreams
Of things
That streams
Upon my gossamer wings

Haiku
Eagles fly low,
breaking
surface waters.
~~~
Rose petals,
fragile
in new fallen' snow.
~~~
Floating,
colorful leaves
kiss the ground.
~~~
Frost,
sparkling
prisms.
~~~
Sunshine~
Feel the warmth
upon your face.
~~~
Imagination~
The playground
of dreams.
~~~
Orange reflections
upon the water,
a harvest moon.

Labyrinth
Labyrinth of lost souls
Empty laughter and screams
Echoing upon the shore
Going unnoticed by the waves
The ripples upon the waters
Avoiding the emotions of love
Fear of being hurt again
Loneliness and isolation
A conversation of life
Passed by unfruitfulness
Full of hate and depression
Consuming the soul
Wondering endlessly
From shore to shore
Just above the waters
Never to be truly free

My path
Over the murky waters
Of great depth
Concrete pillars
Stand though time
Holding the bridge
Upon which I walk
At this time
My chosen path
Ducks below me
Wading carefree
A flock of geese
Flying to their winter retreat
What will this path bring
Between the beginning and end
Only I can decide
On my life’s path

Ripples
Wintry sky
In shades of gray
A storm
On display
Winters winds
Crossing the lake
Creating ripples
In its wake
Ripples racing
To meet the shore
One by one
To be nevermore
On ragged rocks
The ripples break
End of your journey
And heartache

Scarlet sunset
My life circled
From one to another
Like the silky petals
Of a scarlet rose
Spiraling inward
Towards the heart
Holding all that I am
Or shall ever be
Now I must go
This is my journeys end
Like the scarlet sun
Caressing the sea
In the afterglow
Of my life
