Shining so bright

In a dark night

We can only see them

When there’s no moon light,

no sunlight,

overpowering them

Stars may not be as bright as the sun,

nor as bright as the moon,

but it’s always there

Waiting for its turn

to shine

They are patient

Waiting for their chance

To show people that

they can shine too

that they are useful

that they have talents

They knew that they were just small

that they can’t be as bright as the sun or the moon

But they knew that

as long as they wait

for their chance

Eventually,

they can shine too
