Gilia aggregata
The plant is usually from 12 to 18 inches in height. The blossoms are about an inch long, and can vary in color from pale pink (or white) to bright red. The lighter colored varieties tend to be found at higher elevations.

These flowers are pollinated by hummingbirds or by insects with very long tongues, such as hawk moths.
