SFC (Singing for Change) Charitable Foundation, Inc. was created by Jimmy Buffett and initially funded by contributions from the 1995 Summer Tour.� SFC offers competivie grants to progressive non-profit organizations that address the root causes of social or environmental problems.� SFC is interested in funding projects that improve the quality of life for people and that empower individuals to effect positive change in their communities.� Most likely to be considered are organizations that keep their overhead low and collaborate with other groups in their community to find innovative ways of solving common problems
Reputedly, when performing at Timberwolf Ampitheater in Kings Island, OH, Jimmy commented on all those crazy folks in the crowd from the Cincinnati area wearing hawaiian shirts and parrot hats and who keep coming back to every show.� "Just like deadheads," Jimmy commented.� Coral Reefer Timothy B.
