~Common Descriptions and Appearance~ | ||||||||||||||||||||
Hair With so much salt buildup from living or being in saltwater so often, the hair of a lamiran might naturally be mostly straight and perhaps spikey. The most common found hair colors so far have been black or white. Also, lamirans generally have little to no body hair. Ears Some are percieved as frilly-like, some bat-like as to catch echoes and sonar. You might have been born with ears like a human but have extended hearing in hole behind your ear like a dolphin's ear. Eyes If lamirans have eyelids, they probably don't blink a lot except maybe in sharp sunlight. Their pupils are rather large, and most lamirans are found to have black-colored eyes...sometimes with a colored ring of hue around the pupil. Skin A lamiran's skin is tough like a shark, and smooth....without pores. The color really depends on the environment of the lamira; babies are born a very pale white, almost translucent with an aqua tinge and change over time. How they are born and where they are born matters in this case. If they're born out of the waters, they're probably a snowy white with a washed-out aqua-colored tinge. As an adult and prone to the sun, a lamira might have bleached cheeks, nose, shoulders, ect. Gills/Fins A lamiran might have two or three gills/slits in the skin anywhere from the base of the neck, the collarbone and the neck, or below the collarbone but before the shoulder. They range from two to three inches long and are extremely sensitive. Lamirans may or may not have fins; it really depends on where you've been born and by what sort of parents. Some have sharp spines from our wrists to their elbows with a razor-like fin stretched inbetween. The same exists from our ankle to our knees. Hands/Feet Some have webbed fingers and feet, some do not. So far, the ratio between those who do and those who don't is evenly divided in half. Tails It's generally agreed that lamirans don't have tails; we haven't found one yet with one!. |
