John is believed to be the father of James L. Boggs. There has been speculation that this John Boggs was actually descended from the Cherokee Indians; however, nothing has been proven. The other theory is that John came from Londonderry, Ireland and that his wife was Mary Keys. We have nothing to substantiate this either.
