This will be a rotating kiln to make a
pre curved 36"x2" glass disc.
The oven will be either square or octagon
depending on how I can cut the firebrick
and bend the sheeting.
It will basically be Two hot plates, one over the other, the sides will only be about
8" high.
I am going to build the oven to withstand 2300*f and also be able to aneal glass
for many days to relive stress during cooling
over a year ago.
This scope is going to be built entirely
from information on the net.
as I belive many of the methods in books
are the hard way of doing things.
If you are reading this now, you can do
annything that I have done by searching the net.
I sofar have cut 14.5 inch disc out of 3/4
plate glass and polished it.
Then built my own tester and tested it.
I built a test scope also.
all In a few months.
That cut my 14.5 using#80 carborundum and water.
