   Because of constant devaluation of Markka, in 1963. monetary reform was made under which 1 old markka became 1 new penni. Later Finland become more and more developed country and economy was very stabile, so markka didn't lost too much of its original value determined by this reform. In this period numerous commemorative, non circulation coins were issued, which can be seen on this page. On the 1st of January 2002. Euro coinage was introduced, as in many more countries of European Union.
