The Tree Of Peace Of The Iroquois Confederacy

* The Eagle on top watches over all

* The Branches are there for all who seek shelter

* The Roots spread out in the four directions

* The War Club is buried under the tree to signify peace

My father was born the Mohawk reserve about two hours east of Toronto, Ontario.  It is called Tyendinaga Mohawk territory.  It is a beautiful spot right on The Bay Of Quinte.  Although I was not raised on the territory, I am very proud of my Mohawk heritage.  I was given a spirit name but I will not put it here for all to see.  It is a very personal name and if you are interested in knowing it - you will have to ask me.  Being Mohawk means I am part of the Iroquois Confederacy.  The Six Nations of the Confederacy are as follows: Mohawk, Seneca, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga and Tuscarora. I am constantly learning and growing as I walk along the path the breathgiver has laid out for me.  I do not have a clan but I do feel strongly connected to Wolf.  I feel Wolf is my protector, guide and companion.  I will stop there as I can not think of anything else to add right now but I will add things as they come to me to add.  Let your soul dance everyday.  Skennen.
               Mohawk Words:

Des stane - Stop or stand still / Za jon - Sit down / Do Ga - I don't know /  Skennen - Peace //
