| WHO AM I, ANYWAY? |
| The answer to that is simple. I am the person I am. I am my past, present and me yet to come. Let's start with my past. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. My guides and protectors were working on that day though. I was only born with a mild condition. Regardless of being born "differently abled", I had an amazing childhood. I grew up in a small town raised running in and out of neighbour's homes on hot summer days - picture Mayberry then shrink the town size and you have my hometown of Greenbank. Baseball games, summer picnics, tobogganing down the town hill were all a part of my mixture. Those of you who know me, can figure out where Johnny Lizard came from. Those of you who do not get the reference, just ask me. I grew up on stage. I was cast in the school play when I was in Grade 5. From the first moment I heard the applause, I was hooked. I have been a Prince, a Pirate, and a lot in between. I was the biggest Munchkin you have ever seen - " As Coroner, I Must Aver....". Acting has become so much more then a hobby for me. It is a passion and a sustaining life force. Whenever I need a bit of a re charge I try to get involved in a musical. No where else can you be walking down the street and suddenly burst into song. OK, you can do it in Toronto and New York but that's it other than on stage. I will always be involved on some level in acting. My Academic career is pretty average. It is all past, present and future though. I am always looking ofr something to study or train with. Currently, (May 17, 2004) I am finishing up a course to be certified as a massage practitioner. I believe the Creator above is leading me along a path leading to Healer. Massage or any theraputic touch can be such a powerful form of healing and I am honoured to be involved in it, even if it is just a little bit. As for my future, well I don't know. I am still interested in an Aboriginal Media course and I am trying to get in to Teacher's College. Of course, since I am now a professional Actor, there is always that profession calling to me. "Maybe tomorrow I will finally settle down but until tomorrow I'll just keep moving on!" (If you don't know the reference, SHAME ON YOU!) |
