Father of 22 Sons and 6 Daughters
William Henry Killebrew is my Gr-gr-gr-grandfather.
He was born in Maury County, Tennessee, the son of Thomas Haynes Killebrew and Ann Harrill.

In 1836, William married my Gr-gr-gr-grandmother,
Nancy Ann Chun (or Chunn).  Together they had a total of 21 sons, only 9 of which we have been able to trace.  It is assumed that most of the remaining 12 sons died at child birth or shortly thereafter.  It is also said that all of these sons were single births, no multiple births at all.  Is it any wonder then, that Nancy Ann died at the age of 47 years?  They were only married 26+ years, and I think it's safe to say that Nancy Ann spent most of her life with William Henry "pregnant"!  I wonder if she was " barefoot" too?

In 1866, William Henry married Sarah Melissa Britton. Seven children were born to William Henry and Sarah. They were: Mary, Emma, Nancy, Margie, Lillie, June, and Samuel Pinkney Killebrew.

William Henry, Nancy Ann and Sarah Melissa Killebrew are all three buried in the Asbury Cemetery in the Kirksey Community of Calloway County, Kentucky.
