Kaylela-Cedar Canoe Producers: Maurice Nahanee and Karen Tessier 23:00mins
A documentary that shares the experience of a diverse group of youth carving a canoe from a red cedar log. The traditional building of canoes "carries the culture of First Nations forward".  By working together, self-esteem, respect, harmony, prosperity, and honor are reflected in the creation of this canoe.

Touching The Past- Residential School Healing Project 14:00mins

With guidance from a mentor, a team of youth learn about Residential School trauma syndrome by writing,
producing, directing, and editing a creative video that educates others and themselves. Each youth encounters memories of the past that are held within various objects that surround them.

Helpless Maiden Makes an I Statement – Experimental short 2000 Director: Thirza Cuthand 6minsBy using clips of evil queens/witches this video plays off the sadomasochistic lesboerotic subtexts commonly found in children's entertainment.  A helpless maiden is tiring of her consensual s/m relationship with her lover, an evil   queen. She wants to break up. An impassioned monologue in a dungeon with our heroine in wrist cuffs as she initiates what quickly becomes an emotionally messy ending in flames. This video was inspired by the artists own childhood kiddy porn, Disney movies which turned her on to no end and kicked off many a prepubescent masturbation session.

 Johnny Greyeyes – Feature Drama Director:  Jorge Manzano 79 mins   2000   A feature drama of a woman who finds love, her sense of being, and who faces her own history of violence and pain within the confines of the Kingston maximum security prison.

 Backroads – Feature drama Director: Shirley Cheechoo The story of a First Nations family struggling for justice and dignity. Set in the 1970s on a reservation on Manitoulin Island in Quebec, it focuses on the lives of four sisters who must confront the poverty and harsh environment of life in a stagnant and insular community in the Canadian backwoods.
