| Looking Foolish by � horsesg Years ago when my kids were still in school, we had some new People move into the neighborhood. She was a German Lady and didn`t know how to drive so I would take her shopping on Fridays with me. She was a nice Lady, but very somber in her ways. So being me, I was always trying to get her to laugh. One week, she needed to make an extra trip to the store. So I told her she`d have to laugh or else.:) On getting to the store she went on her somber way. "Not so this time," I thought!! I quickly start putting extra things in her cart. She`d calmly put them back. I`d add more! I`d scoop bunches of boxes of stuff every kind of female nessities, canned goods, on & on. Finally, in desperation, I threw myself down on my knees and begged her to laugh! It worked! She did and I won. When my kids got of the school bus that night, I could tell they were upset. So concerned Mother asked why. Bigggggggg mistake!!!! It seems One of the social study classes was filming a People study in the grocery store! There in all my Glory I was making a fool of myself before the whole asembly. The Teacher remarked that there was this weird acting women that had made the study most interesting.:) Me and the kids got a lot of kidding from everybody over this. The check out gals at the store just about couldn`t get me checked out for laughing. All in all it was pretty rough. But I did get her to laugh. And ever more she had a much better sense of humor. My kids did forgive me, but it took awhile horsesg |
