| The Wood Panneled Room by chibilunacat In the wood panneled room I often sat- And as I sat,I sat in glorified thought. I thought that you would take me away Away to a higher plain, than extinces life brought. An existence high and far away, Away from life and far above- Above, and a better place- The place where we could love. Love that shined and carried me Carried me far and wide. A wide and endless sea of joy- Joy that was beyond pride. Pride that prevented me from movement, Movement to the room where I always cried. I cried inside the panneled room- The room I will always know, I'll always know the difference now- That now is not a simple dream, or whim to sow. A whim or fancy of riding deaths wings- Deaths wings of love and sleep. And sleep with dreams of love, Love thats never come or gone. Gone to the ceiling above- Above my eyes fix on the fan- The fan without its single bulb of light. Light that never shines through the dark Dark is always my own, my night. Night where I can finally smile and giggle- Giggle at the boredum, the dull, my life. Life thats never had a love- Love to hold me close, or push away. Away, a thousand miles away from above- Above is not within four walls, Walls of panneled wood. Wood that remarks not of life, Not life but death, far from good, Good is a scattered phrase, remarked in only taste, Taste the salt of many tears- Tears to rivers, and pools to flow. Flow as easily through as years, Years of pain within four walls. Walls of panneled wood. |
