The Thunderbird Pack

Listen! In the distance.
Can you hear? The sound starts
Deep and rises to a lonesome sound
similar to the screaming of the wind
through the winter trees.

These are my children.
They call to me to come and play.
Their voices lifted together in unison.
With love and affection I can hear them
sing the song so ancient. The song of
Wolves.

My skin moves on my muscles as my hair
rises in hackle of excitement when I
hear them. Calling, Calling, Calling.
For me to come out and play.

I see the love and an devotion shinning
brightly from their eyes. Bouncing, laughing,
dancing as they see me on my way.
How they have touched my life each and every
one and every day.

Waya, Alpha of the females. Strong but so
petite. Size will fool you but her spirit
is enormous. Ever vigilant in her watchful
mood. Protecting all in her domain.

Secu, gentle bear she is. Knows only cuddling
and kisses and never meets a stranger. Her amber
eyes speak of some hidden secret yet kept. But with
those she loves all things are shared.

Santee, loving father once abused. Share his
wisdom with the pack. Tender in his actions
for his loved ones, but prepared to die if
they are attacked.

Michi, nanny to all. She teaches the children
respect, love, kindness and how to share.
Snatched from the jaws of death, she loves
each one and all are her favorites.

Maiingan, Gentle and excited to see visitors.
She to stands in her mothers vigilant watchful
ways. Nothing of importance will ever escape
her gaze.

Anasazi, Gentle and kind. With wisdom behind her
yellow eyes. She smiles and dances the jester of
the lot.

Mendota, this is the shy one. Staid in her wild and willful ways. Standoffish
but not afraid. She looks through you with her piercing eyes.
Reluctant to partake of the human hand, but still wistful she takes her stand.

Unole Waya, badly damaged. Special though of mixed heritage she is readily
accepted by the others. Special in many ways though fearful from the pain she
knows. This one longs deeply for the touch of loved ones. Brings joy and is
also a bit the clown.

Last but not least, the five children of our pack
Dakotah, Cheyenne, Zuni (Fred), Abenaki, and Shoshone(Baby).
They share the many characters of their family. clumsily playful
though they are. Their tiny voices fill the night air as they learn to
sing the song of the Wolf People. An Ancient Song that fills the
darkness with such awesome sounds. They are the future. Together
they will learn to teach human cubs of the beauty of the Spirit of
The Wolf. Together they will help others to understand what is
being destroyed from unnecessary fear. Their eyes hold the knowledge
of the importance of the Pack.

All these together make up the Thunderbird Pack.

Wait I for got two.

Jim And Jan.
Together the live in peace , unity, and love with the Wolf People of
the Thunderbird Wolf Pack. Together we are all a family. Together we
all share the same struggles, the same love and the same compassion.
Together we seek to end the genocide of the Wolf People.
