Ode To A Fallen Tree
by

Consider the feelings of a tree.
So tall, So proud, So bold, So free.

The Eagle soars the clouds so high,
But often up there lonely in the sky,
He looks to earth far down below,
T'is there he'll always see, the reaching
arms of many trees.

Home to many, used by all, some are short
and some are tall. We never stop to think
about the feelings of a tree.

Standing tall above the forest floor,
Tomorrow he's dead. Someone's front door.
I wonder where we all might be, if we'd
never known the mighty tree.
