Chill Winds
by

A chill wind both cold and Gray,
blows through the forest near,
and desert far. With silent voice,
not much to say. Hurriedly passing not
long to stay.

This land of change has seen many faces,
No doubt many more will pass her way.
Those who lived here long in peace struggle
to survive just one more day. Knowing their
time must pass away.

The Grandfather watches from the sky, He
sees the death and knows the lies.
Tears flow forth from saddened eyes,
as He hears the hungry children's saddened cries.
Time soon shall change for them, but when ?
who can say ?

A chill wind blows from far away. Blowing hard
both night and day. Bringing voices saddened by
the way, the people of the world just look away.
Sunshine seldom shining through but,
now and then it does if just for you.
