Push gently through the veil Of sorrow and missed opportunity For upon your shoulders Rests the foot falls of the child Who watches you through life To see how it is done. And shoulder upon shoulder we travel Let us carry proudly onward And teach the steps of life's dance. I pray to be an honor To the shoulders that carry me across the divide.
