Lonesome Cowboy
by

Dropping ashes on my keyboard,
Getting smoke in my eyes,
Sipping Southern Comfort from the bottle,
In between, some heavy sighs.

Just lost my baby,
She ran out on me,
Went with my best friend,
That is plain to see.

I'm looking for another,
One who can be true,
They say that on the internet,
I may even find you.

My requirements are simp[le,
A woman fine, who does read books,
And is firm in her beliefs,
With warmth to match her looks.

If you are interested,
I stand six feet tall,
I ride the range on my horse,
On a cellphone you may call.

Maybe, some day in the city meet,
Or on the plains, under moon light.
But in the meantime, I will dream,
Of a wonderful person, every night.

And even if my chances are slim,
I am not discouraged at all,
And that is why I have a cellphone,
Waiting for your most important call.
