Winddancing

I walk outside
In the middle of the night
In the middle of the light
of a city still bright as day.

The wild wind begins
To giggle and tickle
The trees til they wiggle
Until they prance and say

Come dance with us.
Close your eyes and twirl around
To the tune that we have found,
Til your heart is carried away.

And so I spring aloft
And let my weary body lie
Between the Earth and the sky
Til I feel the stars own spray.

I am one with the One
My body starts to thrum
With the universal hum
Soon, MY part I start to play.

O delirious song!
Eternal and fresh
It heals my flesh
Returns this spirit astray.

It hides its words
In a pocket of my soul
Keeping me whole
As I see the suns first ray.

I hear it still.
I feel it inside.
A Spirit guide,
And on its Path I stay.
