| Expectations by � LouReeves If you expect too much of life, You will forever be deceived, But expectations have results, If you are careful to receive, Expectations require thinking, With knowledge often, too, And if combining both together, Yielding positive results, true! So expecttions are not negative, Yet thinking could make thm so, Thus a positive spin to apply, With results to surely grow. It is important to place, The bar of expecttions high, Yet not so high to yield defeat, Whence confidence would surely die. Let not the expectations of others, Your life to guide and direct, For they may become disappointed, Then treat you with disrespect. Let them know what you expect. Of yourself and of life, And all will become adjusted, Not producing any strife. |
