He Never Speaks
by
eaglespirits02

He talks about days of sorrow and fears
The many miles he has walked in his lifetime
The struggles he faced as an Indian Brave
The many men he killed when he was a fighting Warrior
The buffalo he hunted for his starving people
He never speaks
Tells it all by
The tears in his eyes
The worn moccasins on his tired feet
The faded buffalo hides hanging in the sun
The wrinkles on his leathered face
The dark stains on his hand and clothes
These things tell it better
Than words
Hoping a white eye
Could understand
