Braves Honor

Smoke can be seen
From a far distance,
Sight doesn't have to be keen,
Just listen for the drums used in the War Dance.
The Indians are outraged!
They are now preparing for War,
A War that will cause a lot of killings when they engage
Themselves on the people who killed one of their Braves.
The Brave stole some cattle
From the ranchers that live close to town,
The white man started their own battle,
Killing the Brave, putting him on his horse, then sending the horse
homeward bound.
Now the Tribe is going to fight in a bloody battle,
Some will never return home alive,
Loosing their lives for their Braves Honor, the one who stole the
cattle,
Doing what their Ancestors would have done if they were still alive.
Their faces have been painted,
They are ready to go off to War,
This isn't what they had intended, but the white man killed their
Brave for a reason that shouldn't have been for!
Now that the bloody battle is over,
The dust has settled,
Bodies of the white men are lying all over their land,
The land the white man recently moved to so they could be settlers.
They came here to settle on their land,
Thinking they could be safe here,
But the Indians don't let no white man
Kill one of their own, that was clearly proven here.
The Indians took the ranchers by surprise,
They weren't armed to fight in a battle,
They all died in that bloody surprise,
Slain as if they were the cattle.
The Braves returned to their land
With their heads carried high,
They all had the white man's blood on their hands,
The white man who deserved to die!
