Bang

The mountain roared his anger,
the sky announced his pain.
Thunder bolts and lightning
his tears fell like rain.

Echoes oer the valley
crashing through the brush.
Invasion of his domain
he charged in a rush.

A hunter for the first time,
only licensed to kill deer.
Set off on a hunting trip
loaded down with beer.

His sight found temptation
he jerked the touchy trigger.
The howl heard for miles
then charged as it grew bigger.

Undergrowth and saplings
broke and bowed under foot.
Bruin Hilda was angry
and would kill if she could.

Panic struck, his eyes grew large
he trembled with his fear.
Trying to keep his gun he climbed,
but she was getting near.

Almost out of reach he thought,
then pain shot up his leg.
He felt his fingers slipping
as he cried and he begged.

The rifle fell and hit him,
this saved him from his fate.
He was knocked unconscious,
not knowing that she ate.

Alone hurt and hungry
she drug him to her den.
Cubs small and starving
tore into him.

So sets the taste of human blood
the cubs summers grew.
All for a novice hunter
loaded up on brew.

Two years old and grown now
camper families near.
The savage attack in the night
a tale youll not hear.

Now the search for rouge bears
a near wiped population.
Many years for recovery
and careful conservation.

Now a peaceful generation
the valleys quiet again.
But not before the walls were
covered with many many skins.
