Twlight to Dawn
by

As midnight struck the hour past
His fleeting shadow rose-
Seeing this caused my body to shudder,
And shiver, from head to toes.

His mouth was smiling , oh so sweet-
As his lips touched mine,
And I could feel his warmth around me,
Surrounding me, with his shine.

Never has his name been dropped-
From those lips against my own,
Just a laugh of pure amusement-
Chilling me, right to the bone.

He rarely speaks, but in a whisper,
His sensation's killing me,
He blows his breath into my ear-
It makes me tremble, but sets me free.

A whimsical smile upon his face,
And then he's simply gone-
The clock is chiming, the sun is coming-
And he only stays, from twilight to dawn.

If I could stop the hands of time-
The nights would never end,
But then I awake with sunlight on me,
And there are the chores, I must tend.

When the night sweeps over day-
I smile up at the sky,
Waiting for the sandman to visit-
And kiss sweetly his sleep, into my eye.
