Yesterday, through all the horror, through all the heartbreak, and throughout our country, we felt for America and Americans as never before. Now, as Americans, we stand together, and prove to everyone that we are truly "We the People" and even in the midst of tragedy and horror, we do not fall apart, we do not cower in fear.  We are Americans, and we fight as one, we stand as one, and most importantly, noone can ever tear our bond apart.  The ones who did this to us think they may have won in some way, but they are terribly wrong. All they managed to prove is that we are as tight a nation as ever.
Yesterday I saw the best come out in not only we Americans, but in other countries as well. They came to our sides, offering their help, prayers, love and concern.
On September 11, 2001, our President came forth and issued a statement, and in that statement he said "We will make no distinction between those who have done this to our country and those who harbor them."  He deployed our military and put them on the highest alert, and we, as Americans saw this,  and breathed a deep sigh of relief, knowing we were being protected by the best of the best.  I saw our government gather on the steps of our nation's Capitol and sing "God Bless America." And this made me cry.   I watched our Military convene together, and go forth to protect our country and our freedom, and I watched the American people do what we do best. We come together as one, like we are supposed to do, and we will stay united as ond just like we always have.
I watched our firefighters and emergency personnel as they fought fires and saved people, and tried to save the ones who couldn't be helped. I saw Americans on the street in these cities, not caring about themselves, but for those who were in need of help, and saw them come together to give whatever assistance they could in this tragedy.
All the terrorists succeeded in doing was to bring our country together, even stronger, proving that we will not fall, we will not disentigrate in our faith, and they brought us together as we should be. We proved, and are still proving, that we are truly a Nation of One, divided by none, and we stand united forever, for we are at our best in the worst of times.  Here in America, we came to the aid of our fellow Americans, we sent aid to those who were in need, without thought of our own safety or well being. All we knew was that others in our beautiful country needed us, and we were there, and we will continue to be there until this situation is under control.
I have great faith in our President, and our Military, our govenment, and I know that with them working day and night, our beautiful country will survive this horror of September 11, 2001, and they will let nothing happen to us, our country, and our freedom.
Please, if you are able too, give blood to help those in need, send money to help the families living through this horrible ordeal, the cities laying in ruin. And pray for America. Not just for the people, but for the country, the brave souls who will now go out and protect us, the ones who "stand on that wall to let nothing bring harm to us,"  the ones who are in the ocean, walking on foreign lands, those who will now go to fight for America, Americans and our freedom.
I thank those of you who are in other countries for your help, prayers and thoughts, and want you to know that you are truly of the American Spirit, whether you may or may not be an American. You have the spirit of America in your hearts, and you have helped to strenghten us just by being there and reaching out.
Now, I, as an American, will lay this in the hands of those who best know how to handle this situation. I faithfully place  my life in the hands of the President, the Military, and our government.  They will know what to do, and they will act accordingly.  I know this isn't over by a long shot, but we, as Americans, have proven that we will not be shaken in our beliefs, or split into chaos, and we will not be afraid. And we will not loose our spirit, nor forget the ones who did this to our great nation.  We fight for our country as one, and we are strong.
We are truly a blessed country, and we are of one nation, one people, one life. And we will never forget this day, or the brave souls who helped us and work so hard to right this terrible wrong.
We thank each and every one of you, from the military, firefighters, government officials and emergency personnel. From doctors, nurses, and the men on the streets. For you are our heroes, and in you we will find peace again. We will never forget this day, September 11, 2001, and we will forever remember the ones lost and the ones who fought for us with their strength, courage and love of mankind and our country.
