ROSIE in the hands of Animal control
by order of the sheriffs department of the city of Crestview in Okaloosa
County FL
On August 3rd 1999, sheriff's deputies
aggressively entered my home and placed me under arrest for allegations of
placing threatening phone calls to my wife. Prior to being booked, I
informed the arresting officer that my Boston Terrier, Rosie, was in my
backyard. Being concerned about the welfare of my dog, and not knowing how
long I was being illegally detained, I requested the arresting deputy
arrange for the care of my poor dear dog Rosie.
While I was experiencing the wonders of being
a county inmate for a week, and making new friends, my concerns of my
beautiful dog were diminished by the knowledge that the Okaloosa County
Sheriff's department had made arrangements for Rosie's care.
Rosie was a nice little dog!
Can you imagine the total shock that I
experienced when I made the call to animal control to obtain custody of my
dog on August 9th 1999.
Alan Sampson: "This is Alan Sampson, I
am inquiring about my dog Rosie."
Animal Control: "Just a minute Mr.
Sampson"
minute later:
Animal Control: I'm sorry Mr. Sampson, your
dog is gone."
Alan Sampson: What do you mean my dog is
gone."
Animal Control: She's not here, she's
gone."
After being arrested (see County Jail site
for details) I did not want to know anymore.
Does anybody know what happened to Rosie?
Are you o.k. Rosie?
The allegation of a harassing phone call
is just one of hundreds of allegations made by this individual towards
myself and many other people in this community.
