National Brass

The National Brass , a chamber ensemble established in 1996, is renowned as one of New England's finest brass ensembles. The ensemble was brought together by a common love for brass and a passion for great music. The National Brass toured the East Coast in 1997 making appearances in New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C. its members have performed throughout the world in such cities as London, Madrid, Prague, Tokyo, Moscow, and Vienna. The National Brass performs a wide variety of music ranging from the early Renaissance to the Modern and today's movie scores. The ensemble recently joined the Boston Coro di Camera to make the North American debut of works by Gabrieli, Bassano, and Obrecht recently rediscovered in St. Mark's Cathedral in Vienna.

In addition to their rigorous performances schedule, The National Brass dedicate time to the education of young musicians. Whether through workshops, masterclasses, or The National Brass Summer Brass Quintet Seminar, the ensemble is always bringing their talents to help tomorrow's musicians

The National Brass are currently Aritsts in Residence at The First and Second Church, Boston. The ensemble appears regularlywith such artists as Dr. Brenda Leach, and ensembles such as The Schola Cantorum, and the Boston Coro di Camera.
