"Happy you" - Aivaras
The Lithuanian Final was held on February 14th at the Palace of Sports and Culture in Vilnius. The winner was chosen by a mixture of televoting (25%), the audience in the hall (25%) and an "expert" jury (50%). B'Avarija were the favourites with the televoters and the audience in the hall, but only came 3rd with the "expert" jury who preferred Saules Kliošas and Aivaras. The song "Grace" by Aiste Pilvelyte was disqualified for being a copy of a Lara Fabian song, and was replaced by Kosmo.
At the end of March B'Avarija were disqualified because the Lithuanian version of their song - "Mes cia" was released on CD at the end of 2001. Consequently, Aivaras represented Lithuania at the ESC where he came 23rd.
