"On aura le ciel" - Sofia Mestari
"We'll reach heaven, just like angels, with our wings, we fly away - you and me"
The French Final was held on February 15th at L'Olympia in Paris, hosted by Julien Lepers and Karen Cheryl. The winning song was chosen by a mixture of televoting (50%) and an "expert" jury (50%). Both Patrick Fiori (France 1993) and Marie Myriam (France 1977) were on the "expert" jury. Sofia Mestari came 2nd in the televote, but first with the "expert" jury, as opposed to runner-up Jessica Ferley who won the televote but was only 4th with the "expert" jury.
