The Finnish Final was held on March 10th at the Caribia hall in Turku, hosted by Heikki Paasonen & Jaana Pelkonen. Before the final, there were 4 semi-finals - click here for details: FINNISH SEMI-FINALS 2006 The winner was chosen in two rounds of televoting - the first to select the top 6 and the second to select the winner.

Lordi went on to win ESC 2006. Nina & Hanna Riikka were both backing singers for Finland in ESC 2005. Hanna-Riikka was also a backing singer for Finland in ESC 1996 & 2004. Safe Six included Gary Revel jr, Charles Salter & Annina Rubinstein. Gary was a backing singer for Finland in ESC 2002, Charles was a dancer for Finland in ESC 1994 and a backing singer for Finland in ESC 2005. Annina was a dancer for Finland in ESC 2004.
