"Why" - Geir Rönning
The Finnish Final was held on February 19th at the Tampere Talo hosted by Heikki Paasonen & Jaana Pelkonen. Before the final there were 4 semi-finals - click here for details: FINNISH SEMI-FINALS 2005 The winner was chosen in two rounds of voting. In the first round, 6 regional juries voted on the songs, and the top 6 were performed again before the winner was chosen by televoting.

Geir Rönning previously came 7th in the 1995 Norwegian Final, equal 2nd in 1996 and 7th in 1997. He also came 3rd in the 2002 Finnish Final and 5th in 2004. At the ESC Semi-Final, he came 18th. One of his backing singers was Charles Salter who was a dancer for Finland in the 1994 ESC.
