The Danish Final was held on February 11th at the Gigantium Arena in Aalborg, hosted by Adam Duvå Hall and Mads Vangsø. The winner was chosen in two rounds of televoting - the first to select the top 5 and the second to select the winner.

Sidsel Ben Semmane came 18th at the ESC. Søren Poppe represented Denmark in ESC 2001 in the duo 'Rollo & King'. One member of the group Neighbours - Helge Engelbrecht - represented Denmark in ESC 1987 as a member of the group Bandjo. One of Kim Schwartz's backing singers was Dario Campeotto who represented Denmark in ESC 1961. Trine Jepsen represented Denmark in ESC 1999.
