The Danish final was held at Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen on February 9th, hosted by Michael Carøe and Signe Svendsen who represented Denmark in the 2001 ESC as part of 'Rollo & King'. The winning song was chosen by 4 televoting regions, SMS voting and an "expert" jury in two rounds of voting - firstly to select the best 5 songs, and then to select the winner. The "expert" jury included composer of several Danish ESC entries Keld Heick, Gry Meilstrup (ESC 1983) & Sanne Gottlieb (Danish Finals 2000/2001).

The song was performed in English at the ESC as "Tell me who you are" where it came 24th. One of the backing singers for the song was Kenny Lübcke who represented Denmark in 1992. The group Neighbours included Helge Engelbrecht who was a member of the group Bandjo/Fenders that represented Denmark in 1987 along with Anne Cathrine Herdorf, and took part in several previous Danish Finals.
