The Danish Final was held on February 29th at Aalborghallen in Aalborg, hosted by Anne Cathrine Herdorf & Anders Frandsen who represented Denmark in ESC 1987 & 1991 respectively. The winner was chosen in two rounds of televoting - the first to select the top 5 and the second to select the winner.

Lotte Nilsson previously participated in the Danish finals of 1983 (2nd), 1984 (3rd), 1988 (2nd) & 1989 (8th) as half of the duo Snapshot. At the ESC, Lotte & Kenny came 12th. Fenders were the backing group for Anne Cathrine Herdorf in ESC 1987 (as 'Bandjo').
