The Danish Final was held on March 24th at the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, hosted by Birthe Kjaer & Dario Campeotto who represented Denmark in ESC 1989 & 1961 respectively. The 10 songs were initially reduced to 5 finalists, and then the winner was chosen by televoting.

Lonnie Devantier came 8th at the ESC. Kirsten Siggaard was half of the duo Kirsten & Søren who represented Denmark in ESC 1984, 1985 & 1988.
