The Swedish Final was held on February 10th in Stockholm, hosted by Alicia Lundberg. The winning song was chosen by an "expert" jury.

Malta changed their name to 'The Nova' for the Eurovision, where they sang the song in English as "You're summer" and came 5th. Claes-Göran Hederström represented Sweden in 1968, while Lill-Babs did the same in 1961.
