"Samiid Ædnan" - Sverre Kjelsberg & Mattis Hætta

"Some simple tunes - 2 small words: Lappland - Lap earth, it came with the wind from the north"

The Norwegian Final was held on March 22nd at the NRK TV Studios in Oslo, hosted by Åse Kleveland who had represented Norway in 1966. The winning song was chosen by the votes of a jury of 9 "experts".  After the voting, there was a tie for first place, therefore the "experts" had to vote again awarding 1 point to the song they wanted to win, with Sverre Kjelsberg and Mattis Hætta winning the tie by 5-4.
