The Belgian Final was held on March 7th at the American Theatre in Brussels, hosted by Luc Appermont. Before the final there were 3 semi-finals - click here for details: BELGIAN SEMI-FINALS 1981 The winner was chosen by an "expert" jury and only the name of the winner was announced, although it is rumoured that Liliane St. Pierre came 2nd.

Emly Starr came 13th at the ESC. Stella represented the Netherlands in ESC 1970 (in the group "Hearts of Soul") and Belgium in ESC 1977 (in the group "Dream Express").
