Now this may sound a little harsh, but it is very wise, and very true. Think about it. When was the last time you sinned, thought twice about admitting you were a Christian, saw church as a chore, or done something for your own glory rather than the glory of God? Not too long ago, probably. This is not going to be a hellfire thought - God forgives and, although we are weak, He still loves us. But next time you feel a bit hard done by, think how you would feel if you were Jesus. He was innocent, never put a foot wrong, all so He could die and spare our lives. It was only by His grace that we receive His love, and by His grace that we are forgiven each time we treat Him badly and say sorry. He is all-forgiving. We should aim to be too.
