VBoard Overview
Here
are the changes for version 2.7.
1) The configuration window now highlights what the pedals are
controlling.
2) The merge function now allows you to apply characteristics of
one patch
to all patches in the current bank. For example, I used this to
set a higher
loop gain in all my patches at once.
3) You can make a print-out of all the parameters in the current
patch. I have
noticed that some people in the Forum like to exchange text files
of patch
The
Vetta guitar amplifier provides a large degree of flexibility,
allowing the user to define a complete bank of patches, with each
patch including stompboxes, amplifiers and post effects settings.
The Internet has provided the capability to download a large number
of patches created by many different Vetta and GuitarPort owners.
Unfortunately, it is very difficult to create a new user bank
without spending most of the time transferring patches to and from
the Vetta through utilities such as SendSX or MidiOx. VBoard allows
the user to quickly create new banks of patches by proving a sysex
and GuitarPort file librarian function, plus the ability to easily
audition patches and amplifier settings.
With
a guitar amp that is as flexible as the Vetta, it is sometimes
difficult to remember what is configured at each amp, stompbox and
post-effect location for all possible patches. This software also
allows the player to see what is configured in each patch location
without digging through the menus on the Vetta control panel.
Some
of the features of the VBoard software are listed below.
1)
Modify all Vetta parameters from a single window
2)
Acts as a patch organizer for a complete patch bank
3)
To automatically send patches stored in VBoard to the Vetta
as the Vetta floorboard switches are pressed. This makes it a true
virtual floorboard. This requires a MIDI connection to the Vetta.
4)
Load GuitarPort tone files and convert them into Vetta sysex
files.
5)
Modify the amp settings by loading GuitarPort files or by
using a dialog box.
6)
Modify the stompbox settings using a dialog box.
7)
Modify the post effect settings using a dialog box.
8)
Modify the pedal settings using a dialog box.
9)
Drag and drop sysex and GuitarPort files into VBoard.
Automatically download to the Vetta when dropping single patch
files.
10)
Send individual patches to the Vetta to see if you want to
include the patch in your bank. This requires a MIDI connection to
the Vetta.
11)
To view the amp models, stompboxes and post effects settings
that are used in a single patch or a bank of patches that were
created by the user or downloaded from the web. In this case, no
MIDI connection is required.
12)
To view the amp models, stompboxes and post effects settings
of a patch that is selected by the Vetta floorboard. This requires a
MIDI connection to the Vetta.
13)
To create a text file listing of all the amp, stompbox and
post-effect locations.
14)
To see what the real amp models and effects are after L6 is
forced to use the Lawyer friendly names.
