Greetings fellow Vettanarians!  Well, it's time for the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, TN. Line 6 have been working very hard to get everything ready for the show, and the good news is that as we had been suspecting,  Line 6 will debut the New Vetta Update 1.10, for the Combo/HD.

"Software Update 1.10 is available for download"

The best  "new" feature is the addition of these three amp models.

The MP3's of the New Amp Models were created at a 192-bit rate, which is near-CD quality, therefore they are larger and perhaps more difficult to stream online. For PC Users, if you have a problem hearing them, then RIGHT CLICK over the file names, and choose Save Target As...to save the files to your hard drive for playback.

Significant Updates Include:

1) Volume Pedal - the volume taper has been redone so that it sounds good in any of the selectable positions.

2) Wah Pedal - the wah has been redone so that it will be more musical to the ear. And for those who want to know: The current wah in the Vetta was based on an old Vox, but with enough changes to qualify it as a "Line 6" model. In addition, while Line 6 is not promising anything in regards to future wah updates, they do hope to be able to implement selectable wah models in a future update.

3) Artist Patches - Line 6 had all their Worldwide Product Specialists and Sound Designers create some Artist Patches for the Vetta that will give everyone some new tones to play with. (The Artist Patches listed below were created to emulate the tones of specific artists and songs)

Other Changes Include:

Amp/Fx/Cab Name Changes - A significant part of the new update has to do with a complete change of names for the amp, fx, and cab models. The tables below show you the new "lawyer-friendly" names which are very much in the style of the POD2/POD Pro. Please note that all the original Line 6 Amps and Fx have not had any change made to their respective names.

FINAL COMMENTS

I hope most of you are not too disappointed or had too high of expectations for a significant number of changes/additions. We have three new amp models to be excited about though...and while I wish I had been given more information about which channels have actually been modeled for the new amps, unfortunately, I  haven't received word about that as of yet. Nothing else has been added to the software as far as I presently know at this time.

Best regards,

Nathan Shane

As an added bonus, I received email from Ross Bailey, product specialist for Line 6 in the UK, and he has shared many new tones that he has created for the Vetta, so you can download these by clicking the link below.
