| THE HALL OF BLAME | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ************************************************************************ Okay, here's the deal.... I got this site started with Yahoo's "PageWizard," fully intending to go to the next step and edit and fix it up with their "PageBuilder" program. One hitch the whole damn crappy program is set up for Billgatus of Borg's piece o' crap Windows system, which is nothing more than a cheap, error-prone rip-off of the vastly superior Mac OS. Because Yahoo has obviously been co-opted by the evil Billgatus of Borg, their stupid PageBuilder program is not designed to work on a quality machine, such as a Mac. They blithely admit that they've had "some success" with Mac users, but I am NOT happy! When I try to access their crappy PageBuilder program, it loads nine-tenths of the way, but can't use "javascript" for some reason. So it's no use to me. And of course, Yahoo doesn't have a downloadable version of PageBuilder that you can use off-line, either... Nor do they have a method where you can build the web pages off-line with a decent program, and then upload them to your site as a completed page. At least, not using this lousy kindergarten- level, insultingly simplistic PageWizard program. Aarrrgghh! So, I am FORCED to use this same stupid template, or some other, equally stupid template and this crappy, second-rate Tinkertoy PageWizards program. Oh well... I'll work around it, I tell myself. It's annoying, slow, and allows VERY little in the way of creativity, but I won't let that stop me from being a subversive prick. Now, to explain the "links" @ left... Because I am stuck (for the time being) using this moronic PageWizard, the only way (so far) that I have figured out to let you navigate this site is to make use of the link buttons. Soooo.... each page through the site will have two buttons named "Previous" and "Next Page" which allows you to navigate the site. The index (first) page also has a direct link to this page, and this page, which is intended as an "addendum" of sorts, will have a direct link back. The only way to access this page will be through the index page. I will turn this "page" into an entire section at a later date. Come back and see who makes the Hall!! ***************************** And as long as I'm slaggin' Gates, here's a good one I came across awhile ago... Taken from the 8/30/97 Vancouver Sun: (All Mac users and loyalists love this one.) HOW BILL DOES IT: Internet reasoning we refuse to stand behind Engineers and scientists will never make as much money as business executives. Now, a rigorous mathematical proof explains why this is so: Postulate 1: Knowledge is Power. Postulate 2: Time is Money. As every engineer knows, Work = Power Time Since Knowledge = Power, and Time = Money... therefore: Work = Knowledge Money Solving for Money, we get: Work = Money Knowledge Thus, as Knowledge approaches zero, Money approaches infinity, regardless of the Work done. CONCLUSION: The less you know, the more you make. ADDENDUM: It has further been postulated that the reason Bill Gates dropped out of Harvards math program was because as an undergraduate he stumbled upon this proof and dedicated the rest of his career to the pursuit of ignorance. ****************************** |
